Associate Graphic Designer
Third Man Records
Third Man Records is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Junior Designer to join our art department. This role will work closely with the Senior Designers and Creative Director to conceptualize and execute album artwork, merchandise, marketing campaigns, and digital content that align with Third Man’s brand and artists. The ideal candidate has a strong background in graphic design, an understanding of the brand and label's genres, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Designers and Creative Director to develop and execute visual concepts for album packaging, promotional materials, merchandise, and digital assets.
- Work directly with in-house depts., artists, photographers, illustrators, and freelancers to bring creative projects to life.
- Design and refine merchandise, album covers, vinyl packaging, and related physical media.
- Create compelling visuals (including short form video editing, creating cut downs etc.) for social media, web, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Stay current with design trends, contemporary music, and emerging technologies.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-3 years of design experience (internships welcome), preferably within the music industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in album artwork, typography, branding, and digital design.
Proficiency in the following:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Premier/After Effects a plus)
- Working knowledge of print production packaging, and merchandise design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple creative projects simultaneously.
- Passion for music design, and understanding of Third Man's roster and aesthetic.
