Omnian Music Group is home to the independent record labels Captured Tracks, Sinderlyn, and 2MR. We are seeking a highly strategic & engaging Audience Development Manager, responsible for ideating and implementing social media plans for our labels and artists on our rosters. This role oversees digital coordinators and graphic designers who are responsible for influencer outreach and research, and creating visual assets for our labels & artists.
This is a full-time role based out of our office in Brooklyn - during the initial period, you will be required to work in-person 5 days a week;after that period, you will be able to work from home 2 days a week. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about the independent music space and the artists we work with. The role will require some out-of-office hours activity, such as attendance at shows and at artist shoots and sessions.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring Omnian Music Group labels’ social media & digital properties are maintained to a high standard and grown to increase the reach of artist releases
- Conceive, execute, and oversee all elements of impactful social media strategies that support release campaigns
- Write copy in a tone of voice suitable to the labels and, occasionally, artists
- Delegate content creation and support tasks to Digital Coordinators
- Draft and circulate posting schedules to artists
- Posting and scheduling across all label-owned profiles
- Using available analytics tools to understand target audiences and set goals for growth
- Define key performance benchmarks and goals for artist campaigns and label-owned platforms, reviewing metrics and learning from the execution of past ideas
- Partake in regular post-release analysis, campaign check-in, and project set-up meetings, providing detailed insights, plans, and goals
- Weekly reporting of activity across campaigns and label-owned channels
- Creating relevant content for the labels and their artists, for announcements or brand building, either from scratch or using existing materials such as music videos, press photos, live clips, etc
- Proactively identify and plan around key moments across the catalog and new releases, including significant release anniversaries
- Organizing and capturing content at live shows, sessions, and music video/photo shoots when necessary
- Researching, regularly updating, and presenting social media best practices to the team and artists
- Build email lists, craft incentives to grow opt-ins, and write regular newsletters with input from the wider teams
- Own strategy, planning, and day-to-day execution of creator/influencer campaigns that drive streams, social growth, and sales, operating from and maintaining our influencer database
- Launch and grow initiatives for social-first communities, such as Discord servers, fan pages, Instagram Broadcast Channels, Reddit AMAs, listening parties, UGC prompts, and social contests
- Track platform updates and cultural trends, translating them into strategies for the label and artist campaigns
- Coordinating social media ads with third-party ad agencies
- Communicating with the counterpart social media and digital marketing teams within the label group’s distribution partners, and contacts within social media platforms themselves

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Audience Development or a related field at a music company
- Proven experience building and maintaining social media profiles, especially on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter
- Proven experience in creating social media plans for music companies and artists
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite or other video and image editing software
- Experience in newsletter tools such as (for example, Active Campaign, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Kit).
- A regular user of social media platforms and community platforms (for example, Discord, Reddit).
- A keen eye for visual aesthetics and what works best on different platforms
- Goal-driven and organized, able to create long-term and short-term plans and schedules that draw attention to releases, announcements, events & promotions, etc
- Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills, and experience communicating strategies, goals, content ideas, and results to colleagues, artists, and partners with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets
- Self-starter, actively aware of new trends and emerging social media platforms
- An enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and artists
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of independent music culture
- Desire to grow and develop skills in social media, community management, and digital marketing
- Proficiency in email communication and inbox management, keeping track of incoming requests and tasks, requesting assets, etc

The salary is commensurate with relevant skills and experience, and is anticipated to be between $63,000 and $73,000 annually. Benefits for full-time employees include a contribution towards healthcare and paid vacation days. Prospective candidates should be fully vaccinated and will be asked to provide proof of vaccination.
