The Company
Our client is an LA based independent record label, music publisher and artist management firm.
Position Summary
The Company is seeking a hands-on, early-career music marketing professional to help drive growth through impactful digital campaigns. The ideal candidate has experience in social media, asset creation, UGC, short-form content, fan engagement, and marketing analytics. The role works closely with artists to turn their vision into measurable strategies, iterate using data, and stay ahead of emerging trends. A track record of helping break artists and strong relationship management skills are key. This person may come from agencies, management firms, labels, or other digital-first music teams and should be ready to contribute across the Company’s label, publishing, and management rosters with creativity, hustle, and great musical taste. The full-time role reports to the CEO and is onsite 4 days a week at the Company's headquarters office in the Mid City area of Los Angeles.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns for artists across label, publishing, and management rosters.
• Translate artist vision into clear, actionable, and measurable marketing strategies.
• Create engaging assets and content for social media, short-form platforms, and fan-focused initiatives.
• Contribute to breaking new artists through innovative and audience-first marketing efforts.
• Leverage user-generated content and fan accounts to drive engagement and growth.
• Stay up to date on emerging trends, tools, and techniques in digital music marketing.
• Monitor campaign performance and use analytics to optimize in real time.
• Maintain a high standard of creativity, hustle, integrity, and commercial awareness in all work.
Qualifications
• 1 or more years of hands-on experience in Digital Marketing in Music.
• Proven ability to create and execute social media and digital campaigns, including content creation, UGC, and short-form video.
• Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and a data-driven approach to campaign optimization.
• Experience working directly with artists and translating creative visions into actionable strategies.
• Strong understanding of fan engagement tactics, especially across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Demonstrated success contributing to artist growth or helping break new talent.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external partners.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of urgency and initiative.
• Deep musical taste with a sharp sense of emerging trends in music and digital marketing innovations, as well as a commercial sensibility.
• Ability to use Cobrand, Melody IQ or similar platforms.
• Background in agencies, artist management, talent firms, or digital-forward teams at labels, publishers, or distributors preferred.
• Educational background in marketing, digital marketing, business, music business, or other relevant field of study a plus.
Compensation
Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience. Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $67K to $77K.
