The Company
Mom + Pop Music is a leading independent record label with a presence in New York and Los Angeles. With a commitment to collaboration, transparency and respect for artists’ creative controls, the label has grown to over 25 artists in multiple genres and a diverse team of employees.

Position Summary
Mom + Pop is expanding the label's digital marketing team and audience development team, hiring passionate music strategists to lead digital marketing, rollout strategy, and fan data capture on behalf of the roster of artists. They will lead all marketing conversations with artists/management with a focus on digital strategy. They should have experience and fluency in social media, audience development and fan data/engagement strategy.

The Digital Marketing role reports to the EVP. The position is full time, hybrid, with 1 day per week remote, and 4 days per week in Mom + Pop’s Los Angeles offices.

Specific Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy:
• Develop new music release plans including dates, lead time, paid media budgets, creative assets and content strategy
• Design, Execute and Analyze social media strategy around new music campaigns, outlining pre-release and post-release goals and tracking performance leading into, during and following campaigns
• Track trends across all digital properties and flag upward momentum to escalate to the label’s viral marketing division

Audience Development
• Leverage music releases, tour announcements/pre-sales, merch drops, and more to capture new fan sign ups
• Segment data to create highly targeted marketing campaigns that drive increased streaming consumption, D2C revenue and ticket sales
• Create and execute a long-term growth strategy, outlining goals across all owned/operated artist channels including SMS, Email, Social Following, D2C customers, ticket buyers and more

Analytics
• Able to read streaming analytics via dashboards like Spotify for Artists and more

Qualifications
• 2 or more years of experience in digital marketing of front-line music releases in the music industry
• Experience leading campaign strategy, project management and execution
• Experience working at a label, artist management firm, music distributor or social media agency
• Fluency in a mix of indie, urban, R&B, hip hop, rap and electronic genres and formats.
• Expertise in running digital marketing and social media campaigns that attract and engage fans and drive monetizable consumption
• Able to leverage deep expertise in use of TikTok and other social media by influencers, musical artists, brands and other creatives to grow engagement, audience and consumption
• Adept at collaborating internally across disciplines including digital sales and streaming, marketing, project management, analytics, communications, publicity, artist branding, and brand partnerships
• Experience leading interactions with external partners on artists’ teams including artists, managers, publicists, social media agencies, tour managers, agents, promoters, merch companies, brand partners, distributors, DSPs and others
• Able to execute creative ideas that support the overall mission of each assigned artist and their campaigns
• Must be proficient in G-Suite and Microsoft Office (especially Google Sheets and Excel), Mailchimp, Squarespace, Chartmetric, Spotify for Artists, Apple for Artists, YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, Tag Manager and other tools and platforms
• Excellent collaboration and people skills
• Strong oral and written communication;able to conduct formal presentations and facilitate informal meetings and conversations toward business objectives
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, without sacrificing the depth and focus that each project deserves
• Comfortable working in teams and independently
• High integrity with a strong work ethic
• Commitment to advancing artists’ careers and serving their fans

Salary:

Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience. Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $70K to $90K.
