--Role Description--
The US Head of Digital Partnerships will be responsible for overseeing the US digital streaming strategy, contributing to the growth of Because Music and Because London Records Revenues and their Market Shares, Playlist & Editorial inclusion and the development of partnerships with local DSP.
Operating from our Los Angeles office and alongside the US Head of Marketing and Global Head of Digital Partnerships, your duties will be held in coordination with US distribution & commercial partners Virgin Music Group, UMG and ADA, along with Because Music’s digital and international teams based in Paris and London.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker, expert in digital formats and relationship building, who is looking to take a part in a fast-developing satellite operation and its new roster.
The top candidate has the ability to interface with DSP partners of all seniority and work closely & collaboratively with teams across multiple markets & time zones.
Qualified applicants must already possess extensive knowledge and understanding of the key principles of digital campaigns and streaming strategy in the music industry, with a proven experience of running campaigns.
--Core Responsibilities--
- Develop and maintain account relationships with US DSP partners
- Maintain and develop B2B Playlist Pitches according to each Partner & Playlist environment
- Create & develop creative marketing partnerships
- Seek out opportunities with new entities that will contribute to revenue growth and establish partner processes
- Facilitate & coordinate international campaign strategies
- Coordinate strategy to optimize artists’ U.S audience & online presence across social media
- Collaborate with the US teams to build localized strategies, opportunities & activations
- Provide analysis & strategic feedback for the development of market share & revenues and - Label project visibility
- Contribute to internal team development & training
- Monitor and develop aptness with analytics tools with the aim to construct the most efficient sales strategies
Missions will evolve following music market trends and the development of the Because US operation.
--Qualifications--
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a label, distributor or a role within a digital platform
- Deep knowledge of streaming ecosystem and economy, the strengths and weaknesses of various platforms, their existing products & tools, and the opportunities they offer
- Experience of developing streaming strategies and delivering sizable digital campaigns
- A proven track record in building campaigns with DSP
- Excellent people and communication skills - ability to present and negotiate at all levels of seniority
- Organized individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Positive and highly collaborative with ‘can do’ attitude, providing solutions to any problems
- Must be fully immersed in popular culture and a digital native with keen understanding of current youth trends
- Must have a full understanding and passion for the latest innovations and consumer trends in music, digital media and technology
- Able to use consumer data & research to identify new opportunities and approaches
- Music lover - affinity with UK and European repertoire is a strong plus
