The Opportunity:

The Product Manager, Jazz Group plans, coordinates, and executes new digital and physical releases, including catalog reissues, while owning the day-to-day execution of release plans. Working closely

with the GM and Heads of Marketing, this role helps generate and execute global marketing and release plans and collaborates broadly with artists, managers, and internal teams. This is a hands-on role within an independent label environment, where team members contribute across strategic, operational, and administrative functions. Success will be measured through on-time release execution, growth in streaming, sales or audience engagement, and strong artist and partner satisfaction.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate tailored marketing plans in collaboration with label and artist teams, incorporating digital strategy, social media, PR, radio, retail, tour support, and other marketing initiatives.

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams across A&R, digital, retail, D2C, visual creative, artist management, radio, and PR to execute priority projects.

  • Regularly interface with artists and management on all aspects of commercial release plans and marketing strategy.

  • Lead release kickoff meetings and help align stakeholders on goals, timelines, and responsibilities.

  • Direct and support the creation and delivery of marketing assets, including bios, artwork, video, social, email, and DSP content.

  • Source, proof, and manage copy and credits for biographies, press releases, album credits, and related materials.

  • Collaborate with the GM, label, sales, and fan engagement teams to plan and execute D2C campaigns via label stores and artist stores.

  • Understand and analyze campaign performance, including streaming/sales, D2C, social, advertising, press, and radio, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

  • Track release budgets and expenses.

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Heads of Marketing and GM of the Jazz Group across release planning, campaign execution, special projects, and internal communication.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the album release process and cycle, including physical and digital releases.

  •  Strong knowledge of digital platforms, social trends, and content formats, especially Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced release environment.

  • Collaborative, flexible team player with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in.

  • Strong communicator and relationship builder, able to engage stakeholders at all levels;excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

  • Practical knowledge of how independent labels operate and the unique challenges they face.

  • Comfortable navigating change in a dynamic environment and capable of succeeding as a fully remote team member.

  • Receptive to feedback and proactive in seeking clarity when navigating complex projects or faced with uncertainty.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Canva;the ability to create compelling presentations and reports is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Required: 1-3 years of music industry product marketing experience (i.e., label, press, management). Jazz experience preferred.

  • Required: Associate's degree.

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of photo editing tools and video editing software

 

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

 

Position Location:

Remote – United States. Approximately 5% travel, generally for required offsite meetings.

 

Salary Range:

$55,000-$75,000 annually

 

Status/Hours:

Full time, Exempt, Traditional business hours
