  • Perform journal entries for accruals, depreciation, and other adjustments using QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software.
  • Review reconciliations and journal entries prepared by junior staff prior to close, ensuring accuracy and adherence to documentation standards.

  • Manage accounting for transactions across multiple geographic regions, including multi-currency transactions and VAT compliance and reporting.

Compliance, Budgeting & Process Improvement:
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and maintain audit readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Partner with the Controller to identify and drive continuous process improvements within the accounting department.

Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Mentor junior staff and interns by sharing best practices in technical accounting, bookkeeping, and financial report writing.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for cross-functional teams on accounting matters, providing technical guidance on complex transactions.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in manufacturing or job-cost accounting environments, with a strong understanding of accrual accounting, WIP process management, and GAAP.
  • Demonstrated expertise in job costing and standard-vs-actual variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent systems, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles, including debits & credits and journal entries.

  • Excellent attention to detail combined with effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly through written reports and verbal explanations.
