JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
Transgressive is an independent record label, publisher and management company based in London and New York.
Transgressive seeks an impassioned, experienced and highly organised person to join our team as Streaming & Digital Partnerships Manager.
The candidate will be responsible for the management of relationships, visibility across digital platforms, research and pitching for playlisting opportunities and other wider digital partner activations, working directly on behalf of Transgressive, additionally collaborating with existing partners at distributors and publishing entities to mutually strategise and jointly support efforts.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Streaming & Digital Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the digital streaming strategy of our releases, playlist inclusion, dynamic and creative activations, growth of revenue, and the development of partnerships with the main digital partners.
These duties will be held in coordination with Transgressive’s wider digital and marketing teams based in London and New York.
Leadership and execution across the following elements (not limited to):
- Developing and maintaining exceptional relationships with International DSP partners and contacts (including but not limited to: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, TikTok, TIDAL, Meta, and all other partners)
- Creating and developing creative marketing partnerships, activations and opportunities, both singularly and within the context of the wider team at Transgressive
- Actively seeking catalogue placement on contextual playlists
- Re-pitching repertoire at strategic or opportune junctures (e.g. anniversaries / thematic moments in the calendar, or when songs are spiking / trending, for example as a result of a sync or audience-driven moment)
- Providing analysis, data and strategic feedback for the development of revenues and artist / project visibility, on the contemporary roster and catalogue
- Devising opportunities with new platforms that may contribute to revenue growth, audience development and wider company/brand awareness
- Communicate internal and external updates & manage a Digital Newsletter
- Facilitate and prepare DSP updates, artist streaming / audience reviews and analysis, general market revenue updates, and “best practice” platform processes and advice
- Steer internal teams on new opportunities, trends and DSP advancements, playlisting opportunities, campaign targets / positioning recommendations, and partnership opportunities / strategies to facilitate team knowledge
- Maintain and develop playlist pitches according to each platform
- Facilitate the creation and management of a Partner Newsletter (highlighting new signings, recent highlights / results, and exciting roster / company developments, with the assistance of the internal team)
- Coordinate with the Marketing team members to optimise artists’ audience and online presence across platforms (incl. Meta, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat)
- Coordinate effective international campaigns with all internal team members and distribution partners
CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- Drive, persistence and accountability on getting results for our artist / project campaigns and for overall company development and growth – a problem-flagging and problem-solving attitude is essential
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and awareness of international DSP / streaming / digital platforms
- Extensive network of international contacts
- Measurable track record success in delivering regular results and innovative ideas for new and established artists
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Able to work with appropriate software materials and to visualising results
- Rich experience with artists, record labels, managers and respective departments
- Able to work as strongly solo as they do within the context of a team and with partners
- Ability to manage and multi-task across multiple campaigns and opportunities without losing track
- Culturally aware, commercially attuned and creatively engaged, with an ability to conceive and develop ideas/solutions/opportunities true to both the artists’ and company’s values / brands
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience and an ability to communicate supportively and harmoniously with artists is central to the role, likewise maintaining confidentiality and a delicate manner in handling personal and sensitive matters
- Excellent writing, organisational and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to represent company brand
- Passion for the roster, team oriented, and a self-starter are all essential for this position
SALARY / EMPLOYMENT TERM
- Salary – negotiable / reflective of experience
N.B. There will be a three-month probationary period.
LOCATION
The role will involve office and remote working – depending on the candidate, we are potentially open to where the person is based.
Travel will occur regularly as part of the role, relating to performances, presentations and key meetings.
