About the Role
Mexican Summer is seeking an experienced Streaming Marketing Manager to lead our digital streaming platform strategy and drive global audience development for our roster of artists. This role combines strategic campaign development, DSP relationship management, data-driven marketing, and creative project management to maximize streaming performance across frontline releases and catalog. This role will have a dual focus on domestic and international markets.
 

Key Responsibilities
 
Strategic Campaign Development
  • Develop comprehensive DSP pitching strategies for new and catalog releases across primary and emerging markets
  • Work closely with digital marketing team to analyze streaming data and social metrics to identify growth opportunities;translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and lead their implementation
  • Create territory-specific pitching strategies based on international streaming and social data trends
  • Collaborate on overall campaign marketing strategy for frontline releases to optimize streaming performance, including rollout planning, creative direction of assets, and audience development initiatives

DSP Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with label relations and programming teams at major DSPs globally
  • Represent the company and artists at industry events, shows, and office meetings
  • Coordinate advance playback sessions and create customized presentation materials for each platform and project
  • Provide strategic updates and maintain regular communication with key DSP contacts

Digital Asset Management & Profile Optimization
  • Oversee artist profile optimization across all DSPs, ensuring best-practice implementation of photos, videos, bio, playlists, and other relevant campaign assets
  • Manage creation and delivery of platform-specific creative assets
  • Maintain backend access and administrative oversight of artist DSP profiles and YouTube channels
  • Coordinate international marketing efforts and commission region-specific creative assets as needed

Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with artist teams to secure compelling DSP creative assets aligned with campaign strategies
  • Develop comprehensive DSP onboarding materials for managers, artists, and creative teams
  • Keep abreast of best practices and provide strategic guidance to internal teams
  • Regularly report placement and other relevant updates to internal teams and partners
  • Advise on priority engagement strategies for artist social accounts

 


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in music marketing, preferably at a record label, distributor, DSP, marketing agency, or artist management company
  • Industry Network: Extensive knowledge of the DSP ecosystem with established relationships among key players across major and developing markets
  • Track Record: Proven success with DSP placements and execution of successful streaming marketing campaigns
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with experience serving as a brand ambassador
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of industry data platforms (e.g. Chartmetric, Luminate, Spotify For Artists, Apple Music For Artists)
  • Digital Marketing: Experience in digital advertising and content strategy

What We Offer
A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with the role and the relevant experience of the final hire. Base salary for the role depends on the job-relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, education and relationships of the final hire and is anticipated at an annual rate of $65,000 to $75,000.
