Warehouse Coordinator
Record label and distribution company Light in the Attic seeks to fill the role of Warehouse Coordinator. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and will support both direct to consumer and business to business sales channels by receiving and shipping inventory, primarily vinyl records, from both our in-house record label and our over 100+ like-minded distributed labels and vendors, including international and domestic partners. The Warehouse Coordinator will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to facilitate day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Team.

This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and will support both direct to consumer and business to business sales channels by receiving and shipping inventory, primarily vinyl records, from both our in-house record label and our over 100+ like-minded distributed labels and vendors, including international and domestic partners. The Warehouse Coordinator will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to facilitate day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Team.
You will:
- Facilitate all day-to-day operations of the warehouse including but not limited to picking and pack-out of orders, receiving of inventory, storage and racking of inventory, and consumption/reorder of packing supplies and materials as needed
- Be a partner to the Warehouse Manager and assist in managing internal teams, hourly and part-time associates when needed
- Work with Warehouse Manager to ensure a safe and productive work environment, enforcing rules and regulations and staff compliance with safe working practices
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to ensure preparedness for seasonal increases in volume, new product launches, and large and/or priority inbound and outbound shipments
- Support Supply Chain Team on inventory-related matters including cycle counts, damages, claims, product reworks, and resolutions with carriers and vendors
- Communicate proactively with Supply Chain Manager and Sales Team to be the go-to person for all inbound shipments coordination, including but not limited to negotiating and arranging loose parcels and LTL shipments
- Coordinate with Customs Brokerages to clear international shipments for expeditious deliveries
- Be the point of contact for all third party shippers (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc) and any/all claims resolutions that arise as a result
- Own LTL scheduling
- Coordinate implementation of new Warehouse Management initiatives, including but not limited to evaluating and optimizing process, IT solutions, and allocating resources to initiatives
- Adhere to and enforce the shipping and receiving SOP/Guidelines set in place by management, making sure Warehouse Team follows the high standards of work that all customers expect and deserve
- Coordinate Supply Chain Team to manage damaged product re-work process as needed
- Develop and maintain damaged / quarantined inventory location and work periodically with Head of Operations to audit and
- Ensure that freight charges are captured accurately and archived and available to management
- Assist in pick and pack out and physical inventory moves when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Great people skills and a natural team player
- Strong attention to detail
- Current forklift licence
- Experience with packing and shipping of vinyl records and physical media strongly preferred (1+ years)
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Confidence to work independently and as a member of a team
- Mind for organization
- Proficiency and mastery of general logistics concepts, partners and terminology including various carriers, shipping zones (International and Domestic), LTL, BOL, etc.
- Experience in a comparable role (2+ years)
- 3PL or equivalent shipping and receiving experience (2+)
- Global logistics experience including inbound and outbound
- Understanding of domestic LTL shipping and/or familiar with known domestic trucking carriers
- Shopify (preferably D2C and Wholesale channels) preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite, Slack, Asana
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Inventory Control and Management
- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
Education and Experience
- Recorded music or distribution experience preferred (2+ years)
- High School Graduate
- 2+ years of related work experience
Compensation
Competitive pay will be offered, commensurate with the role and the relevant experience of the final hire. Base compensation for the role depends on the job-relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, education and relationships of the final hire. Compensation is $52,000 Annually plus benefits.
