Redeye is hiring a full-time Account Representative to join our Sales Team. As the exclusive distributor for a growing family of independent record labels, it is vital to our business that our sales team is the voice of Redeye, and exemplify the independent spirit for which Redeye is known the world over.
Based in Hillsborough, NC (near Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill), Redeye began in 1996 by focusing on the rich independent music of the southeast and providing the artists that made up the scene with a distribution option to give them access to all retail accounts located in their region. Since then, Redeye has charted a course of steady, sustainable growth by developing a strong physical and digital distribution network both nationally and internationally and providing a multitude of services to our partners.
This role consists of duties primarily focused on growing the sales of Redeye’s physical account base. As an Account Representative to hundreds of Redeye customers, this role involves educating the assigned account base on both new and catalog releases, securing consistent orders, facilitating the set up of new accounts, and implementing marketing activities designed to increase exposure for the artists and labels Redeye represents. Our ideal candidate will have both sales and customer service experience, as well as a strong passion for the music and labels we distribute.
Significant duties of the Account Representative include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Sell Redeye releases directly to physical retail accounts as assigned by the Sales Manager
-Maintain, engage and grow direct account base through consistent outreach via phone and email
-Investigate and open new accounts
-Execute marketing activities with account base to ensure the success of a marketing campaign
-Ensure stock requirements are met based on booked marketing programs
-Ensure applicable orders are submitted to the Redeye warehouse to ship
-Facilitate customer exclusive releases with accounts
-Achieve set monthly sales goals
-Establish and maintain strong relationships by giving outstanding customer service to all accounts
-Ongoing maintenance of contact information for account base
-Stay in close communication with Sales Manager to discuss priorities, goals, and trending sales
-Represent Redeye at industry events & functions, live performances, and company events
-Sales and customer service experience and a strong passion for music needed. A general knowledge of marketing would be an added benefit.
-Basic understanding of web programs, email, social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and Microsoft Word/Excel is mandatory.
-Prior experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems a plus
-Must be self-motivated, organized, have the ability to multitask
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written needed.
-Must be able to problem solve and provide conflict resolution when needed.
