Junior Demand Planner / Supply Chain Analyst, Light In The Attic

Leading label and distribution company Light In The Attic seeks to fill the role of Junior Demand Planner / Supply Chain Analyst, Light In The Attic. This newly-created role reports to General Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the right products are being ordered and re-ordered from both our record label and our network of Labels and Vendors. You will be responsible for making sure that we are never out of stock on key titles with an eye toward maximizing sales and optimizing the ordering cadences and projections models in the process. You will drive Light In The Attic’s catalog of vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and non-music merchandise, as well as that of our ever-expanding network of partners and distributed labels including Nancy Sinatra, Sony Japan, Waxwork, MONDO, iam8bit, Tidal Waves Music, Ship To Shore, and more. This position will play an integral role in shaping the future of the business, working as a key member of our Operations Team to create and implement ordering cadences that result in a best-in-class sales and distribution pipeline.

You will:
- Develop and maintain cadences and projections models to forecast demand for key Light In The Attic Records and distributed releases across direct to consumer and wholesale channels
- Own and maintain relationships with all Vendors and Labels and be the key stakeholder responsible for ensuring orders are placed on time and the appropriate quantities are ordered
- Assist in setting team goals for revenue, gross margin, inventory, and variant productivity that meet overall channel financial metrics
- Maintain Demand Plans for supporting channels and manage forecasts in ERP systems.
- Ensure data accuracy in reporting and management of forecasts.
- Maintain forecasts in LITA’s Proprietary Demand Planning Model
- Assist in seasonal/event (e.g. Record Store Day) Ranges and plan assortment with support from Sales and Production
- Assist in product ranking, collect feedback and develop top down forecasts
- YoY Trend analysis, manage product mix and comparable mapping
- Manage 12-18mo statistical forecasts for Light In The Attic core catalog and key distributed titles, update monthly and provide feedback to management team
- Provide analysis to support decisions to deploy promotional and markdown strategies that meet inventory and financial goals across both direct to consumer and wholesale channels
- Work across the matrix to insure all necessary data is available and accurately noted so financial metrics can be validated
- Assess Vendor Performance in terms of lead time, fill rate, and responsiveness
- Responsible for inventory processes for finished goods and supplies
- Own inbound logistics coordination and returns to vendors
- Communicate risks and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Collaborate with Vendors, Merchants, and Supply Chain Management on seasonal, marketing or release-specific buy strategies to support product initiatives, maximize in-stock, and inventory productivity across both direct to consumer and wholesale channels
- Provide ongoing communication to the relevant teams/stakeholders regarding channel financial performance
- Lead monthly and quarterly sales forecast meetings, and S&OP meetings. Develop content to support and assist in demand reviews.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated experience using Excel including pivot tables and formulas
SQL and Power BI experience a plus Demand Planning (3+ years)
SAP, IMS or ERP Program (3+ years)
Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite, Slack, Asana
Strong analytical capabilities
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
Inventory Control and Management
Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
Team player who is down to pitch in and support the greater good
Interest in music and/or vinyl preferred

Education and Experience
Demand Planning experience required - preferably in a wholesale environment
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of related work experience
