LABEL/VENDOR RELATIONS & OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Leading label and distribution company Light In The Attic seeks to fill the role of Label and Vendor Relations Specialist. This newly-created role reports to Head of Sales and will be the direct conduit to Light In The Attic’s ever-expanding network of distributed labels including Sony Japan, MONDO, iam8bit, Tidal Waves Music, Ship To Shore, and more. This role will play a key component in shaping the future of the business, working cross-functionally with Operations Lead to ensure deadlines are met, orders are placed and filled in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Cultivate excellent relationships with LITA labels, partners, and vendors
- Establish and maintain a proactive cadence with labels and vendors regarding upcoming release schedule, new releases, catalog initiatives, and brand marketing initiatives
- Work closely with Operations Lead to ensure that the release schedule is kept up to date and accurate from week to week
- Collaborate with Operations Lead to establish a cadence for ordering product and ensuring proper POs are placed
- Under guidance from Operations Lead, establish a standardized process for ingesting new labels, vendors, and titles into the LITA distribution system
- Work with Head of Sales and Marketing to ensure label priorities are appropriately communicated in company meetings, sales solicitations, outreach, and marketing efforts
- Provide Management with label feedback and detailed updates regarding overall label/vendor health, goals and expectations
- Solicit labels/vendors for participation in sale pricing and discount programs
- Act as a source of guidance for labels/vendors on all LITA operational procedures and best practices, including packing guidelines, solicitation deadlines, services, and tools.
- Be up to date with current trends in the market and have a passion for music, especially catalog and archival releases
- Represent LITA at events and conferences as needed
- Perform other duties as required

Minimum Education and Skills:
- College graduate or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel), Asana, and G-Suite Applications
- Proficient with a form of contact management software such as Pipeline, Pipedrive, etc.
- Basic knowledge of IMS and/or ERP systems
- Basic knowledge of Shopify
- Must be excellent at communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Must be highly motivated and be able to focus on many different projects in a fast-paced environment
- Able to complete assigned projects on deadline
- Ability to work in a full-remote capacity, meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals with minimal supervision

Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the music industry required
- Project management experience required
- Knowledge of physical retail and supply chain operations required
- Passion for independent music required
- 1-2 years of experience in Inventory Management and Demand Planning (Forecasting) preferred
- 3PL, Warehouse, or supply chain management experience preferred
- Experience working in music distribution or within a label group preferred
