Missing Piece Group is a full-service music company: a marketing and publicity agency, management company and record label. We are looking for a Marketing & Publicity Coordinator to join our team. The team member will help develop, implement and support online marketing and social media strategies, publicity initiatives and campaigns for a range of musicians, labels, publishers and more.

Duties - Marketing
Research and promotional outreach to online music programmers – Spotify & Youtube playlisters, editorial and programming teams with digital streaming services.
Social media research and analysis on client projects – optimization and best practices for all social and artist-owned channels.
Recommend and execute strategies for fan engagement and audience building across artist and company social networks.
Online ad campaign management – placement / optimization / reporting.
Ongoing contact research to identify and build connections with new digital and press targets.
Ongoing tracking / reporting of overall campaign tactics and results.
Develop and maintain content calendar and social media messaging for artist clients.
Duties – Publicity
Pitching and scheduling artist interviews, show previews, reviews, listings and features.
Ongoing research and organization of contact lists for marketing and publicity pitches
Research outlets for artist tours, ongoing outreach to local media outlets to increase artist profiles.
Develop creative, unique pitches for conveying artist stories; research & write artist / campaign pitch material, proposals.
Daily organization, management and involvement in artist activities.
Weekly internal/client reporting on all projects.
Experience (internship / starting) with music media, management, label or related.
Thorough familiarity with digital platforms - streaming, social networking, online advertising (Facebook Ad Manager, Google/Youtube).
Innate understanding of all social and digital channels and opportunities in music / media.
Knowledge of pop culture, new music media, websites, blogs, podcasts etc.
Excellent communication skills - written, database, spreadsheet, web platforms.
Ability to work independently and be a motivated self-starter
Multimedia production skills - graphic, audio, video (optional but beneficial).
