Memphis Record Pressing
Bio
Memphis Record Pressing (MRP) was born in 2014 from a partnership between Audiographic Masterworks and Fat Possum Records, bringing together deep experience in music and manufacturing at the height of vinyl’s resurgence. After acquiring and restoring a dormant pressing plant in Brooklyn, the team set out to revive both the machinery and the craft behind vinyl production, officially opening in January 2015. By 2016, a partnership with GZ Media—the world’s largest vinyl manufacturer—helped propel MRP onto the global stage as demand for records surged and major labels returned to the format. A major expansion in 2021 more than tripled capacity, cementing MRP’s place among the largest vinyl manufacturers in North America. Today, MRP continues to pair scale with craftsmanship, producing high-quality records while carrying forward Memphis’s enduring musical legacy.
