RVNG Intl. is a New York City institution that operates on few but fortified principles, supporting forward-reaching and thinking artists. This support has manifested in over one hundred “original” releases, the label’s intergenerational and contemporary collaboration series, FRKWYS and Reflections, career spanning anthologies for pioneering musicians (who may or may not have had their time in the sun), and as programming for backyard and international stages. For eight years, RVNG underwrote Commend, a downtown NYC retail and gathering space (that is soon to reopen in Brooklyn), and remains paired with Freedom To Spend, a sister reissue label. The label remains eternally in service of sound.
